Microsoft released Windows 11 Build 22538 for Insiders in the Dev Channel. The new update adds voice access improvements as well as other improvements and fixes.

Today Microsoft released Windows 11 Build 22538.1010 to the Dev channel to test the service pipeline. This means that the update does not contain anything new, but only increases your build number. If you haven't caught up with Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22518 yet, here's what's included in it.

Voice Access Update

We first introduced Voice Access in Build 22518. Voice Access is a new experience in controlling your PC using just your voice. In today's release, we're making some Voice Access updates available for Windows Insiders to try.

Use the touch keyboard for voice access

You can use the touch keyboard with voice access:

  • Spell words such as names and email addresses.
  • Enter numbers, such as phone numbers and addresses.

Changes and Improvements

  • We are starting to roll out speech input, with speech packs available for download from the Microsoft Store that enable device-based speech recognition for better transcription performance.
  • We are trying to improve the discoverability of certain input features in various areas of the operating system.

  • We added HTTPS boot for Hyper-V Generation 2 VMs. This feature is enabled by default.

Known issues

[Taskbar]
