Windows 11 Beta build 22621 comes with taskbar, File Explorer improvements, ISO available

Microsoft has released new version 22621 to Windows 11 Insiders on the Beta channel today. The build brings changes to the taskbar and file explorer, among other things. You can find the full changelog below:

Changes and Improvements

[General]

• [Reminder]The version watermark in the lower right corner of the desktop no longer exists in this version. This doesn't mean we're done, watermarks will be returned to Insiders in a future release.

Fixes

[General]

• Updated the underlying speech platform to improve speech Access, real-time subtitles and voice activity detection for speech input, and resolve some issues with how punctuation is recognized.

[File Manager]

• Fixed an issue that caused Insiders to see error 0x800703E6 when copying files from Google Drive.
• Fixed an issue that would cause explorer.exe to crash if you ever opened the context menu, did CTRL ALT DEL and canceled.

[Taskbar]

• Fixed issue with loading system tray icon in Settings > Personalization > Taskbar A related issue that may have caused Settings to crash when opening this page recently. This issue may also cause some explorer.exe crashes for affected Insiders.

[Windows Security]

• Fixed an issue that could cause Smart App Control to unexpectedly block properly signed apps.

The following are known issues in Build 22621:

[Live subtitles]

• Some full-screen apps, such as video players, prevent live subtitles from displaying.
• Certain applications that are located near the top of the screen and are closed before running live captions will relaunch behind the live caption window located at the top. Use the system menu (ALT Spacebar) while the application has focus to move the application's window further down.
