Microsoft Edge gets new gaming homepage and enhancements to Xbox cloud gaming

Microsoft Edge 103 was released today with various security fixes. The latest version of the browser also adds some new gaming features.

When you update your browser to the latest version, it will display a welcome screen highlighting its new features. You can access your game feed from the home page or from a new tab/click on the "Games" tab. It provides a news feed tailored to your interests. You can personalize it to add/remove content as you see fit.

If you’ve used Edge’s feeds before, you’re probably familiar with the experience. There is a live stream widget at the top of the page that highlights popular games that are being streamed. The next widget displays information about esports tournaments you can register for. There is also another widget called Pro Matches that displays upcoming events that may be of interest to you. Edge's gaming homepage provides a quick way to view and manage Microsoft Rewards.

The new Edge comes with some Xbox-only features. If you're signed into your Xbox account in a browser, you can use it to see which games you've played recently. It also has shortcuts for discovering games and accessing the Xbox Cloud Library.

The Xbox Game Pass widget is particularly useful because it lists new games that have been added to the subscription, upcoming games, and games currently popular on the service.

Microsoft says it has partnered with Epic Games to allow Edge users to play Fortnite directly in the browser.
