TCL is getting into the Google TV experience with a bunch of pretty solid 4K TVs. The brand updated the lineup in Europe earlier this month, and one detail that went unnoticed until now is support for Apple's AirPlay 2 and Homekit across the lineup.

As reported by the folks at FlatPanelsHD in a private demo, TCL will support AirPlay 2 and Homekit on select Google TV models sold in Europe. The C735, C835 and C935 models of the TCL range will support both Apple standards, allowing iOS users to mirror their displays and cast content, as well as control TCL TVs through the Home app and Siri.

These new models coming to Europe are the only Android TV OS TVs sold by TCL with these features, although the brand's Roku TVs do support AirPlay and Homekit integration. It seems unlikely that TCL will backport these features to its existing Google TV models, although we're hoping the North American version will bring the same support when it launches this summer.

TCL isn't the first to bring AirPlay to Google TV, with Sony's Bravia line offering the same feature in its 2021 lineup alongside some previous Android TV options. Of course, like those Sony TVs, TCL's new line still fully supports Google TV's existing wireless standards, including built-in Chromecast and Google Assistant control.
