KB5016694 (Beta): All the new features for Windows 11 Insiders

If you're one of those users who can't get enough Windows updates, even though Patch Tuesday rolls out a lot of them, here's one more.

The Redmond-based tech giant has released Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22621.575 and Build 22622.575 (KB5016694) to the Beta channel.

Microsoft doesn’t seem to be done with this Lighting Twins build mode for the beta channel yet, as you’ll see again this week.

What new features does KB5016694 bring to Insiders?

Let's jump right into it and say build 22622.575 contains new features, while build 22621.575 comes with new features turned off.

Having said that, if you are also an Insider and got into the latter version, you can check the update manager and install the feature-enabled version.

In terms of changes and improvements, Microsoft says that clicking a folder in the File Explorer navigation pane will now open it in a new tab, just like clicking a file in the main body of File Explorer Same clip.
