S Mode was first introduced in Windows 10 four years ago, and Microsoft announced that users will also be able to see it in Windows 11.
Although it provides extra security and improved performance to your device, that doesn’t mean everyone is happy with this feature as people are already looking for ways to disable it.
So what is Windows S Mode? This mode is designed to run apps from the Microsoft Store, so if you want to install apps that aren't available in the Microsoft Store, you'll need to exit S mode.
However, you need to be careful as exiting S mode is a one-way decision. If you decide to continue using it, you won't be able to return to Windows 11 in S mode.
