Should you choose PHP or front-end in 2017?

As an enterprise, the probability of finding talents with comprehensive capabilities is also very low.

In contrast, the diversity and number of tools on the front end are unmatched by PHP. Whether it is resources such as Redex, Bootstrap, Less, or frameworks such as AngularJS and ReactJS, they make front-end development more powerful and faster.

However, PHP still focuses on interacting with the database and background performance. PHP can not only participate in development, but also handle large amounts of data. Some mainstream CMS, such as Drupal, Joomla, and WordPress, are all built using PHP.

In terms of company allocation, if the company has few front-end talents, it will obviously tend to recruit more front-end developers for website construction, and vice versa.

In short, in 2017, PHP and front-end development have their own advantages in their respective fields. Which one to choose depends more on personal interests and actual needs.
