Environment: centos8 and jdk14
(Recommended learning: java entry program)
The specific steps are as follows:
First put the jdk compressed file into /usr/local/java. This java file was created later.
1. Decompress the jdk compressed file
tar -zxvf 压缩包名:解压这个压缩包
2. Change the decompressed file to a simple name
rename 包名 新名
3. Because jdk has no jre file since jdk 9 We need to generate a jre file ourselves, and we execute this command in the decompressed directory.
bin/jlink --module-path jmods --add-modules java.desktop --output jre
(Video tutorial recommendation: java video tutorial)
4. Then we go to the file /etc/profile and write the environment variable
vim /etc/profile
Write the environment variable at the end of the file
export JAVA_HOME=/usr/local/jdk14 export JRE_HOME=${JAVA_HOME}/jre export CLASSPATH=.:${JAVA_HOME}/lib:${JRE_HOME}/lib export PATH=${JAVA_HOME}/bin:$PATH
5. Check the current path with the pwd command
6. Finally, remember to execute the save command
source /etc/profile
7 , finally enter the command to see if your configuration is correct
java -version
