How to configure phpmyadmin when using it for the first time

Download phpMyAdmin and unzip it, open the config.default.php file in the libraries directory, find the following items in order, and configure them according to the instructions.

(1) Access URL

$cfg['PmaAbsoluteUri']= ''; //这里填写 phpMyAdmin 的访问网址

(2) MySQL host information

$cfg['Servers'][$i]['host']= 'localhost'; // MySQL hostname or IP address

Fill in localhost or the server where MySQL is located IP address, if MySQL and the phpMyAdmin are on the same server, press the default localhost

$cfg['Servers'][$i]['port']= ''; // MySQL port - leave blank for default port

MySQL port, the default is 3306, just leave it empty. If you use other ports when installing MySQL, you need to here fill in.

(3) MySQL user name and password

$cfg['Servers'][$i]['user'] = 'root'; // 填写 MySQL 访问 phpMyAdmin 使用的 MySQL 用户名,默认为 root

(4) Authentication method

$cfg['Servers'][$i]['auth_type'] = 'cookie';

config method is to enter the access URL of phpMyAdmin to enter directly without entering the user name and password. It is unsafe and not recommended.

When this item is set to cookie, http or HTTP, logging in to phpMyAdmin requires a data username and password for verification, as follows:

The PHP installation mode is Apache, and http and cookies can be used;

PHP installation mode is CGI and cookies can be used.

(5) Setting of phrase password (blowfish_secret)

$cfg['blowfish_secret'] = ''

If the authentication method is set to cookie, you need to set a phrase password. What password to set is up to you. , cannot be left blank here, otherwise the error shown in the figure below will be prompted when logging in to phpMyAdmin.
