How to end if loop in java

In actual programming, sometimes it is necessary to break out of the loop when the conditional statement matches. In Java, it is controlled by break and continue statements.

"break" statement

The "break" statement is used to end the loop, that is, all subsequent loops will no longer be executed.

Example: Calculate the result of 1 2 3 4...100.

public class example1{
    public static void main(String[] args){
        int result=0;
        for(int i=1;i<=100;i++){
            if(i>50) break;
            result+=i;
        }
        System.out.println(result);
    }
}

Output result:

1275

Analysis: The program only calculated the results of 1 2 3 4... 50, and all subsequent loops were not executed. That is, when i=51, the loop ends.

In addition, the "break" statement can be used together with the switch statement, which will be explained in the next section.

"continue" statement

The "continue" statement is used to end the current loop and enter the next loop. That is, only this loop ends, not all loops end. , the subsequent loop still proceeds.

Example: Calculate the result of 1 2 3 4...100.

public class example1{
    public static void main(String[] args){
        int result=0;
        for(int i=1;i<=100;i++){
            if(i>50&&i<=60) continue;
            result+=i;
        }
        System.out.println(result);
    }
}

Output result:

4495
