Why can’t I install the wordpress download theme?

There are two reasons why I can’t install the wordpress download theme: 1. The theme compressed package is not in zip format; the second is a file upload error.

Two solutions to failed WordPress theme installation

Method 1:

First of all, you must know that the wp theme compression package format must be zip format, if you upload it in rar format, the installation will definitely fail.

Download the theme in zip format and put it on your computer, then select [Install Theme] in [Theme] in the WP background, select [Local Upload], then select the local theme and click Install.

Method 2:

Log in to FTP directly, go to the wp-content/themes folder, put the theme folder in FTP, remember this is the upload folder , not a compressed package. Then find the uploaded theme in the WP background installation theme and click Install.
