Ranking of the most popular programming languages ​​in 2018

We conducted a survey on several popular programming languages ​​to understand how much users like and pay attention to them.

JavaKotlin

## Data shows that 42% of respondents are interested in Older versions of the language are more interesting. Surprisingly, 62% of people want to pay more attention to Java 9 in 2018, and only one in five respondents thinks Java 9 is pointless. A third of participants also expressed interest in upcoming versions (Java 10 and 11).

Kotlin and Go

43% of respondents think Kotlin is interesting, and 30% of respondents are more concerned about Go.

Scripting language

The survey found that the attention of TypeScript and JavaScript is basically the same, with TypeScript slightly surpassing JavScript (41.9%) with 42.8%

Scala

Scala’s popularity continues to grow. This year is no exception, with nearly 48% of respondents so far saying they hope to try Scala this year.
