Division of time zones
The world is divided into 24 time zones. Each time zone has its own local time. The local time of each time zone differs at the same time. 1-23 hours, for example, the difference between local time in London, UK and local time in Beijing is 8 hours. In the field of international radio communications, a unified time is used, which is called Universal Coordinated Time (UTC). UTC is the same as Greenwich Mean Time (GMT).
Time zone setting in PHP
Because PHP5 rewrites the data() function. The default setting of PHP is standard Greenwich Time (that is, the zero time zone is used), so to obtain the local current time, you must change the time zone setting of the PHP language.
There are two methods to change the time zone settings in PHP language.
(1) Modify the settings in the php.ini file and find under [data];date.timezone = option, remove the preceding quotation marks and change it to: date.timezone = PRC (PRC is the time zone of the People's Republic of China), and then restart Apache.
(2) In the application, you need to add the following function before using the time and date function
date_default_timezone_set(timezone);
Among them, the time zones that can be used to set Beijing time in my country include PRC (Republic of China), Asia/Chongqing (Chongqing), Asia/Shanghai (Shanghai) or Asia/Urumqi (Urumqi)
List of legal time zones: http://www.php.net/manual/en/timezones.php
For example:
echo "UTC时间:".date("Y-m-d H:i:s")."<br>"; date_default_timezone_set("PRC"); echo "北京时间:".date("Y-m-d H:i:s")."<br>"; echo "当前时区:".date_default_timezone_get()."<br>";
The running result is:
UTC time: 2016-03-26 07:19:57
Beijing time: 2016-03-26 15: 19:57
Current time zone: PRC
