Google Sitemap was originally a brand new xml format, but there is this article in the Sitemap FAQ:

We also support the Open Archives Initiative (OAI) PRotocol for metadata harvesting,
a popular protocol in the library world. If your sitemaps are already available in OAI-PMH version 2.0 format,
you are welcome to submit these. We also accept rss 2.0 and Atom 0.3 syndication feeds, using the link/lastMod fields.

So what? Just add your blog's RSS directly to the Sitemap! I have successfully added the RSS 2.0 in http://www.knowsky.com/aboutrss.asp.

The above is the content that Google Sitemap originally supports for ordinary feeds. For more related content, please pay attention to the PHP Chinese website (www.php.cn)!
