At the age of 30, I started to realize my dream of being a programmer, from a programming enthusiast, from an amateur programmer, to a low-level programmer, to a A programmer who has become a monk......

My experience comes to an end here. I have jumped into jobs five times in five years. I don’t know if it is too much compared to everyone elseJ , there are not too many ups and downs, but I think many friends may have similar experiences to me, and I don’t know if it can resonate with you. I would like to give a summary of what I said above:

1. If you think you should pursue something, no matter what difficulties you encounter, never give up and persevere.

2. Don't look for excuses to waste time just because you are young, play less SC, CS, Warcraft3, Legend, Magic or ...., read more books and practice more question.

3. If you are still a student in school, your English is very poor and your professional courses are also very poor. It doesn't matter, just learn computers how you want. In other places, as long as you can get a diploma, it will be fine. Unless you have no confidence in your future. (Of course, if your ideal is not just to be a programmer, then don’t lose your English.)

4. If you are not from a major and want to change careers but don't know where to start, I suggest you read two types of books first: (1) Computer principles; (2) Data structures and algorithms. (Before looking at the data structure, let’s look at the C language).

5. It's never too late to work hard. The key is that you know how to work hard. It's better to be a late bloomer than to achieve nothing.

6. Java, .net, C++, PB, VB, Delphi, which one should I learn? From my experience, you should learn whichever one is easiest first, whichever one is used by the company, and whichever one is predestined for you (for example, if you happen to know a Delphimaster who is willing to help you), you can learn whichever one, if you learn them all, or After changing them every three days, I can tell you that the result will definitely be nothing. Don't be impatient. They are just tools. If you master one skill, the others will be connected. The important thing is to master the idea of programming. If you ask me object-oriented (it seems to be demand-oriented now), UML, WebLogic, WebService, software engineering, XML.... should How to learn? Sorry, I really don't know all these things, but please believe that after you actually write more than 100,000 lines of code, you will naturally master those things.

7. Don't think that all programmers' salaries are very high. There is also a big difference in level between programmers. The company measures a person's treatment by how much benefit he can bring to the company. If you demonstrate your own value, the company will take the initiative to give you a salary increase. Of course, you can also take the initiative to raise your salary, but it must be after you have demonstrated your own value.

8. Don't change jobs easily. If you have to change jobs, you should maintain a continuation of your work experience instead of starting from scratch. Otherwise, you will make many detours like me.

9. If you think that programmers stay up late, you are wrong, because the price is to shorten your youth! Don’t be like me, really, staying up late is not good at all! Remember Lao Mao's words: If there is permanence, there is no need to wake up at midnight and sleep in the middle of the night; the worst thing to fear is that three days of fishing and two days of drying nets, and a bamboo basket of water will be empty!

10. This is the most essential point in my opinion: "A gentleman's nature is not different, he is good and fake." The original meaning of this sentence is that a very high-level person does not necessarily have to be very smart. The key is that he is good at using other people's talents. clever! I am here to serve as a reference, which is to make full use of the resources around you and never miss any opportunity to improve yourself. Don't get me wrong, the fake thing here does not mean plagiarizing other people's source code, but extending his ideas into your own by learning other people's source code.

Note: The top ten "essences" above are purely my personal "fallacies". You can digest them yourself and accept the ones that are useful. Please drag the ones that are useless into the "recycle bin". If you think these summaries are just some flashy words, then please ask yourself first: "Have you really done it in action?"

This is me, one does not count as outstanding or diligent. ; I can play all night long and study all night long; I am very persistent in the pursuit of my dreams; I didn’t start really writing programs until 30; A very ordinary person but not willing to be ordinary... I believe that many friends have my experience I have experienced it all, and I can’t be considered a successful person now, but I believe that my experience is worth learning from, because after all, I represent a type of people.

Finally, I want to say one more thing: Many friends now complain that the environment of China’s software industry is too poor and the future is bleak. It's true, I feel the same way. But I think the software industry is just one of thousands of industries, and every industry will always have its ups and downs. China's poor software industry environment has its historical reasons. We should not always simply compare it with India. There is no point in complaining. It is already like this. Complaining cannot make her better. I hope that each of us will contribute more and one day she will become better than India and even better than the United States.

Finally: I hope all programmers and friends who have dreams of becoming programmers will have all their wishes come true and all the best in the new year. Please believe me: tomorrow may not be better, but a good day will definitely come!
