FreeTDS also provides RPM packages, and related resources can be found on its official website:
http://www.freetds.org.
The installation path can be found through the rpm command.
The default location of its configuration file is /etc/freetds.conf
There are detailed comments in it, explaining the role of each configuration option. If this is not enough, there is detailed documentation on the FreeTDS website.
