2. How to add a button to the menu bar
There are several ways to run the javascript macro. The first method is to associate the toolbar button with a macro and add this button to the HoTMetal user interface. This method has been mentioned before. In this tutorial, we will slightly transform the first method and drag the new button from the dialog box to the toolbar area. Figure 6 shows the hotMetal window after dragging:

When calling the toolbar and menu customization dialog box, be sure to note that a new toolbar (named ToolBar1) has been created. This toolbar tab allows you to change the name of the toolbar and its format. Once you create a new toolbar, you can add more buttons to it.
