昨天去了一家新的公司，他们是做游戏开发的。主要用flash和as。其中两个前辈对我说，不要把学php当做主要的，因为做网站很低端，这样的人才市场上抓一把是一把，一般没有高薪。
好难受啊，难道php只能做个小网站么?主流的还是c++或者java?我是不是该变个方向了？不做网站了，那做什么？求各位大神指教。

不做网站了可以，职业只是人生的一个小小的选择题而已,你现在不做以后再来做都可以。
那做什么?我觉得抓阄就可以有答案了。
php仅仅是一门开发语言，它不是印钞机。你掌握他只是证明你具备了一种开发能力，高薪不高薪取决于你的Boss是否觉得你值得这个价钱。
所以给你点建议吧，不要人云亦云。如果觉得自己不足那么可以博览天下。在这个游戏模式里，要么退出游戏，要么继续玩下去。
不是PHP能做什么，是你能用PHP做什么。
现在好多程序不都是php的吗？，什么团购、论坛等等。我感觉单纯评论一样东西的好坏太片面，好比AE86，在拓海手里是神车，在别人手里是破车。

PHP我认为是目前开发大型网站系统最佳的选择，只要能实现的技术，PHP都能够比其它的网站开发编程语言使用效率更强更佳。

赚多少钱和什么语言没关系。。。
为人处事，办事能力，抗压能力，人际关系，管理能力，等等。。。技术只是其中之一。
想纯做技术，可以主要靠技术，但只靠技术的，成就有限。(使用绝大多数人，但不适用妖孽)
看你的价值，你创造的价值，你的潜在价值，你在上级，上上级，或者boss眼中的价值。。。
当然啊，对于普通程序员来说，
扎实的基本功能让你少走弯路。
扎实的数学功底，数据结构，算法分析，操作系统知识，网络知识，汇编语言，硬件知识，c/c++语言，数据库原理。
这些能让别人更看重你。
为什么呢，只有对原理，基础了解的深入，你的潜力才大，才能做出高质量的大型产品。
没有基础只靠一些速成的高级语言。只能做些一般性工作。
所以，努力吧。苦练内功，才能走得更远。
做了程序员就别偷懒，学习学习再学习。

再说了PHP 做的远远不只是一些小网站，PHP能做很大规模的系统，facebook的主页不就是PHP做的？
我再加一点，PHP 是门很有含金量的技术，起码PHP 有很多技术问题可以讨论。
像flash 和 as 做的，我觉得吧，来来去去就那些东西，这跟photoshop 是一样的，看经验，积累多了自然会的就多。

做java,android什么的适用性很强,确实最近很容易拿高薪,
