我们为网站开发了一个小软件，有自己发信息聊天的功能，包括读取网站信息等。
现在想请问一下，如何利用网页，判断用户机器上有没有安装这个软件？如果安装了，可以启动这个软件的发信息窗口，如果没有，到下载安装页面。
类似QQ那样？模仿QQ在线/离线

有人告诉我说这是违法的。。-_-!!!
后来我问经理。因为我们当时正在做这种东西。
经理告诉我这是安装那个软件的时候由软件方提供插件
ActiveX插件。
然后网页里可以用JS代码判断有没有安装这个插件。
这样就可以判断你的电脑里有没有安装这个你要的软件了。。嗯。。
