Combat Training 2 is a side quest in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Combat Training 2 side mission.

• Quest Description: Now that I’ve refreshed my memory on combos, I could learn the master strike from Master Tomcat.

Objectives:

1. Defeat Tomcat in a duel
2. Learn the master strike from Tomcat
3. Perform the master strike for real

Starting Location: Combat Training 2

This quest starts automatically after completing Combat Training 1 in the same location.

Defeat Tomcat in a duel

When you are ready, speak with Tomcat at the camp again and select “I challenge you to a duel.” You will need to have a sword equipped, as you will be in a “real” fight instead of with the training sword you used before. If you don’t have any armor equipped, Tomcat will tell you to go find some armor first. In this case you’ll have to come back later, you can loot armor from some bandits and from story enemies in Main Quest 9: For Victory!. When you are ready and have armor equipped, hop in the arena after him and speak with him to start the duel.

Tomcat is pretty average in a one-on-one fight, the main thing to do to beat him is use the combos he taught you earlier. Successfully stringing them together will normally result in him dropping his guard after a couple of hits. Once you’ve successfully hit him 3 – 4 times he will stop and you will win the duel.

Learn the master strike from Tomcat

The master strike is a unique move that will allow you to directly counter enemy attacks, instead of performing ripostes after perfect blocks, which the enemy can themselves avoid. You must be aiming from the opposite direction the enemy is attacking from (left/right or up/down) and then instead of blocking when the green shield icon appears, attack instead which will perform the master strike, immediately countering and damaging your opponent. Perform it in each direction as directed by Tomcat to complete the first section.

Perform the master strike for real

Now you will need to judge where Tomcat is attacking from and perform the strike yourself. Remember to aim opposite where he is holding his sword, then attack when the block prompt appears. Successfully perform this 3 times to complete the quest.

This finishes Combat Training 2 side quest in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.
