Dreadful Discoveries is a Triumph required to unlock the ‘Heretic’ seal in Destiny 2. It requires you to complete multiple objectives across all three seasonal acts. With the release of Act-III, you can complete the Triumph to get The Ruinous Flame — a Legendary ship. You will need to progress through the main storyline before working on these objectives. While none of the objectives are particularly hard, they do require some legwork.

How To Complete The Objectives For Dreadful Discoveries Triumph

You must complete three objectives to unlock Dreadful Discoveries. These objectives become available once you have progressed the story a bit.

Hive Hacking

For this objective, you must complete three Mission Dossier: Hive Hacking quests from the Shaping Slab. In order to complete these quests, you will need to defeat Hive Wizards on the Moon — two in Sorrow’s Harbor and one in Hellmouth.

Objective	How to Complete
Lightsinger’s Limb	Travel to the Summoning Pits from Sorrow’s Harbor — the easiest way is to mark the quest active, and follow the waypoint.
Cultist’s Limb	You need to follow the waypoint to the Catacombs to find Ilyx, Celebrant of Oryx. To remove her immunity shield, shoot three Hive Runes — there is no need to engage enemies.
Blade Navigator’s Head	You will need to complete a few tiers of Altars of Sorrow on the Moon to summon Saruk, War Dancer. When she appears, defeat her to grab the Head of Saruk ur-Omni.

Willbreaker Shards

Once you have reached Act-II, you will be able to pick up another set (five in total) of quests from the Shaping Slab. Completing these quests will reward you with Willbreaker Shards that are needed for the Triumph.

Objective	How to Complete
Shattered Will: Vorok, Sentinel Eternal	Vorok, Sentinel Eternal is a secret enemy found in various places across The Dreadnaught. In order to summon him, you will need to light three braziers. Vorok does not have any standout mechanics, and can easily be defeated with any Special / Heavy.
Willbreaker: Dreadnaught	You will need to open Treasure Chests in The Nether or Court of Blades to collect Willbreaker Shards.
Shattered Shards: An Entity Manifested	There are three Expressions of Many that you can find across the Cosmodrome — Lunar Complex, Gateway, and Dock 13. You simply need to defeat these enemies to complete this quest.
Shattered Shards: Lost in Prophecy	For this quest, we recommend defeating Phalanx Echo, the first boss in the Prophecy dungeon. A couple of Guardians using Lord of Wolves should absolutely shred him.
Shattered Shards: Innermost Power	For this quest, you will need to defeat Hive or Taken using Abilities.

Vengeance Quests

Lastly, in Act-III, grab another set of quests (Vengeance Quests) from the Shaping Slab in Eris’ Apartment.

Mission Dossier: Witch's Gambit	This quest requires you to uncover three secrets in The Dreadnaught, complete The Nether, and defeat 100 enemies under the effects of a Corrupted Boon – while walking the Path of Resolve.
Mission Dossier: Sibling Squabbles	You will need to use Void / Strand to defeat Hive enemies.
Mission Dossier: Blade Logic	This quest requires you to defeat Taken anywhere in Sol using a Sword or a Glaive.
Writ: Heir of Nothing	You need to defeat 10 challengers in the Court of Blades while walking the Path of Ambition.
Writ: Bloodied Blades	While you are on the Path of Ambition, you will need to defeat Hive enemies in The Nether using a Sword or a Glaive.
Writ: Misguided Vengeance	For the last quest, you will first need to defeat Lucent Hive on Savathun’s Throne World using Solar / Arc.

You can use LFG Discord servers or in-game Fireteam Finder to get teammates for Court of Blades.

Once you have completed all three objectives, claim the Triumph to unlock The Ruinous Flame — a Legendary ship. You also need this Triumph to unlock the Heretic seal.
