Initiating the Paradise Quest:

This quest unlocks after completing "The Great Gate" and "Defense of Bruma." Speak to Martin; his confirmation will open the portal to Paradise.

Completing the Paradise Quest:

Upon entering Paradise, follow the path, engaging leveled enemies (Daedra and elementals). You'll encounter Ascended Immortals (non-hostile) who offer insight into the area. A Dremora named Kathutet awaits near a bridge leading to a mountain door.

Kathutet: Fight or Quest?

Kathutet offers a choice: battle him or undertake a minor quest. Both reward the Bands of the Chosen, essential for accessing the Forbidden Grotto. Kathutet wields the Purging Flame (fire damage over time), various leveled potions, and Resist Magic. He may also cast destruction and mysticism spells.

The quest involves freeing a trapped Xivilai in a nearby cave. Killing Kathutet yields the Bands directly. After completing the quest or looting the Bands, enter the Flooded Grotto to claim your reward.

The Bands cannot be removed and inflict Weakness to Fire (50%).

Eldamil: An Unexpected Ally?

The Forbidden Grotto is populated by Daedra, elementals, and Dremora. You'll encounter Eldamil, a Mythic Dawn member who offers assistance. To escape, remove the Bands—only Eldamil knows how. Accept his help, feign imprisonment, and allow him to lower you to safety. He may perish fighting Dremora, but his immortality ensures his return.

Later, Eldamil helps remove the Bands and offers to aid in the final battle. His assistance is optional but not detrimental.

Defeating Mankar Camoran:

After removing the Bands, proceed to Camoran's chamber. He and his Mythic Dawn allies are formidable mages, summoning Daedra and casting powerful spells.

Camoran boasts significant resistances and spell absorption, making fire damage your best bet. Goldbrand (from the Boethia quest) is an ideal weapon.

Upon his defeat, loot the Amulet of Kings, Mankar Camoran's Staff, and his robes. Return to Cloud Ruler Temple to complete the quest and witness Martin's ascension to Emperor.
