Forbes NYT puzzle game "Strands": Tips, text puzzles and answers on Saturday, May 10 Author: Paul Tassi Today is a special day, which itself should provide a special tip for today's puzzles, but it seems that it is really impossible to avoid this at the moment. I wish you a good time.
How to play Strands
The New York Times' Strands puzzle is an interpretation of the classic text search game. It is currently in beta, which means it will continue to exist only when enough people play it every day.
There will be new Strands games every day. The game will give you a six by eight letter grid. The goal is to find a set of words that have commonalities and you will get a clue about the topic. When you find a topic word, it will be highlighted in blue.
You also need to find a special word called a text puzzle. It tells you what these words have in common. Text puzzles connect both sides of the board. Although the subject word will not be a proper noun, the word puzzle can be a proper noun. When you find a text puzzle, it will be highlighted in yellow.
Note: You need to be vigilant.
"Some topics are fill-in-the-blank phrases. They can also be steps in the process, items belonging to the same category, synonyms or homophones," the New York Times noted. “Just as she changed the difficulty of word games in a week, [Text Game and Strands Editor Tracy] Bennett plans to occasionally give Strands puzzles.”

What is the answer to Strands today?
Now let's look at today's answer. The following content contains spoilers, please be careful. We will start with the text puzzle and then list the full answer list. The text puzzle is:
MOTHERSDAY (Mother's Day)
Its position on the board is as follows:
Now let's look at the complete list of answers:
- FLOWERS (Flowers)
- HUGS (Hug)
- BREAKFAST (Breakfast)
- CARDS (card)
- DRAWINGS (Picture)
- PARTY (Party)
So, yes, it's all about Mother's Day. Maybe I did try to find "birthday" and "easter" here before realizing what was going on, and now I feel a little silly. Instead, it has something to do with what you give to your mother on Mother's Day, even though I've never had a party. Sorry, mom. However, I will send flowers, hugs and cards. And my son will give away pictures. So I think we're fine!
