Genshin Impact 5.6 Banners and events

The Genshin Impact 5.6 Banner and event details have been officially announced for the latest patch, titled Paralogism.

We're finally heading back to Mondstadt for a new Interlude Archon Quest involving Albedo, Venti, our Knights of Favonius friends - and Dahlia and Alice! We're also returning to Fontaine for the main limited-time event, and getting Escoffier's Story Quest.

Below, you can find out the 5.6 release date and time, who the new and returning characters are, and what the 5.6 Banners and events schedule is for the upcoming Genshin Impact patch.

Then in Phase 2 of the 5.6 Banner schedule we have returning 5-Star Dendro claymore-user Kinich, featured on his Seeker of Flame-Wrought Secrets Banner, and returning 5-Star Electro polearm-user Raiden Shogun on her Reign of Serenity Banner.

These Phase 2 Banners are expected to run from Tuesday 27th May until Tuesday 17th June - the day before the expected release date of version 5.7.

In summary, all of the new and returning 5-Star characters you can Wish on during 5.6 in Genshin Impact are:

• Escoffier (La Chanson Cerise Banner - Phase 1): New 5-Star Cryo character who uses a polearm.
• Navia (In the Name of the Rosula Banner - Phase 1): Returning 5-Star Geo character who uses a claymore.
• Ifa (La Chanson Cerise and In the Name of the Rosula Banners - Phase 1): New 4-Star Anemo character who uses a catalyst.
• Kinich (Seeker of Flame-Wrought Secrets Banner - Phase 2): Returning 5-Star Dendro character who uses a claymore.
• Raiden Shogun (Reign of Serenity Banner - Phase 2): Returning 5-Star Electro character who uses a polearm.

There will also be one new 5-Star weapon in the version 5.6 Phase 1 weapon Banner: the Symphonist of Scents (polearm), Escoffier's signature.

We also have the return of the Chronicled Wish Banner. Here's all of the 5-Star characters on the version 5.6 Chronicled Wish Banner:

Genshin Impact 5.6 events

The Genshin Impact 5.6 update includes:

• Archon Quest Interlude Chapter: Act 4 set in Mondstadt.
• Escoffier Story Quest.
• Chronicled Wish Banner returns with an Inazuman theme.
• New World Boss - Secret Source Automaton: Overseer Device.
• New Weekly Boss - The Game Before the Gate.
• Ley Line Overflow event.
• Can now delete custom map pins in batches.
• Treasure Compass update - Can now track Warrior Challenges, and Tribal Secret Spaces and Mora chests from various nations when you raise your Exploration progress level enough.
• Imaginarium Theater update - Including a rework of Brilliant Blessing details, and a restart button after finishing the final Act.
• Talent and Constellation character descriptions will be more concise for new characters going forward.
• TCG update - New card skin and character and action cards added, with a small Automatic Artistry rework.

In addition to this content, we're getting four events during 5.6:

• Whirling Waltz - Main event in Fontaine featuring Navia and other Fontain characters, with guest appearances from Kinich, Ororon, and Ifa. Gameplay is a management sim for The Chevalmarin Film Fantasyland. Runs from 9th to 26th May, and you need to be at least Adventure Rank 20, unlock any Statue of The Seven in Fontaine, and have completed the Prologue Act 3 'Song of the Dragon and Freedom' Archon Quest to take part. Rewards include the new 4-Star Sequence of Solitude bow (and its refinement materials), the usual character and weapon materials, Crown of Insight, and Primogems.
• Operation Downpour Simulation - Top-down tower defense event that you can play in co-op. Runs from 19th May to 3rd June, and you need to be at least Adventure Rank 20, and have completed the Prologue Act 3 'Song of the Dragon and Freedom' Archon Quest to take part. Rewards include the usual character and weapon materials, along with Primogems.
• Legends Ablaze: Cross-Border Brawl - Coin-collecting co-op mini-game event that lets you indwell Saurians. Rewards include the usual character and weapon materials, along with Primogems.
• Chronicle of Shifting Stratagems - Combat event that lets you study and test out different team compositions. Rewards include the usual character and weapon materials, along with Primogems.

Genshin Impact 5.6 release date and time

Genshin Impact 5.6 released on Wednesday 7th May. It follows the usual maintenance schedule for new updates, with 5.6 releasing at 4am (BST). Due to time zone differences, 5.6 actually released in the United States on Tuesday 6th May at 8pm (PT).

For other time zones, the Genshin Impact 5.6 release date and time was:

• West Coast US: Tuesday 6th May, 8pm (PT)
• Central US: Tuesday 6th May, 10pm (CT)
• East Coast US: Tuesday 6th May, 11pm (ET)
