Whether you're a knight errant seeking a squire or a cunning adventurer needing backup, a loyal companion is invaluable in Oblivion Remastered. Carrying heavy loot is a constant concern, so having a trusty sidekick to share the burden simplifies those trips back to town.

While Oblivion Remastered offers a variety of followers, few are readily available at the game's outset. This guide highlights some of Cyrodiil's best companions.

Oblivion Remastered: Top Follower Choices

The Adoring Fan

This infamous follower, the source of countless memes and anxieties, becomes your shadow after completing all Imperial City Arena matches.

His physique isn't ideal for combat; he's more of a pack mule and torchbearer. However, encountering him is a quintessential Oblivion experience. Just keep him away from your feet.

Faction Leadership Rewards

Traditionally, becoming a faction leader in Oblivion Remastered grants you a follower. Three major factions offer this perk:

Dark Brotherhood: Completing the Dark Brotherhood storyline provides a randomly generated assassin.
Mages Guild: Finishing the Mages Guild storyline nets you a randomly generated apprentice.
