How to help the Demineur in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33

In Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, your quest to stop the Paintress reveals a surprising twist: not all Nevron are hostile. Some, like the friendly Demineur in Flying Waters, need your help. Assisting this Demineur yields valuable rewards. Here's how:

The Demineur is located beyond the Expedition 59 Flag (Noco's Hut via fast travel), accessible through a broken jar (pictured above). To find it, stay to the right of Noco's Hut, avoiding the shipwreck.

When you encounter the Demineur, choose "Examine" instead of "Attack." Attacking now prevents completing the side quest. Examining reveals the Demineur's missing mine.

The mine is located to the Demineur's right, among stone pillars you can jump across (see image). Look for a glowing pink item – that's the mine.

Return the mine to the Demineur. Completing this side quest rewards you with the Level 3 Deminerim weapon for Lune. You can then choose to leave or attack the Demineur.

Should You Attack the Demineur?

While combat is possible, it's best done after completing the side quest to maximize rewards. Attacking yields three Colour of Lumina and one Chroma Catalyst. To fight, simply select "Attack" after interacting with it. Use free-aim to destroy the mine for significant damage.
