Forbes NYT Today’s “Strands” Game Tips, Pangram and Answers (Saturday, April 26) By Erik Kain

Sunday is a good day to relax and rest, but I have used up the card of "I'm doing nothing all day" this Friday. So, I guess it's all about working today, but don't worry before we untie today's Strands!

Strands is the latest puzzle game launched by The New York Times. It is a fun variant of the classic text search game. A new topic is given every day, and then all words that match the topic need to be found in the grid, including a Pangram across the sides of the board (sentences containing all 26 English letters). One of the words is Pangram , which extends from one side of the grid to the other and reveals more information about the topic of the day.

Spoiler warning ahead

Strands Tips Today

Today, I'll give a tip about the entire grid and then a tip for every word you need to find, because these words are really hard!

Today's topic: Have a good sleep

Tip: What you do before bed.

Clues: Or something you wear.

Here are the first two letters of each word today:

  • If you grind your teeth
  • If your partner snores
  • If you are disturbed by light
  • If you have trouble falling asleep
  • If you need to clear your mind to relax

Remember, spoiler warning ahead!

What is the answer to today’s Strands?

Today's Pangram is: BEDTIME (bedtime)

Here is a complete list of words:

  • MOUTHGUARD (brackets)
  • EARPLUGS (Earplugs)
  • MASK (eye mask)
  • MELATONIN
  • MEDITATION

Strands Analysis

For some reason, this game is really hard for me. Maybe I don't have enough sleep. The simplest word here is MASK (eye mask), followed by Pangram BEDTIME (bedtime). The other words are very tricky, mainly because they are all long. After some puzzle solving, I finally found MOUTHGUARD (braces) and EARPLUGS (ear plugs), but even so, it was tricky to find MELATONIN (melatonin) and MEDITATION (meditation). This is an exhausting bedtime routine!
