Forbes NYT “Strands” puzzle tips, Pangram and Friday, April 25 by Paul Tassi
The last weekend of April has arrived and we are almost mid-2025. Time flies so fast when you solve puzzles. Spring is in full bloom, or is about to bloom, and summer is coming soon. We have some words to uncover, so let's uncover this Strands!
Strands is the latest puzzle game under the New York Times. It is a fun variant of the classic text search game. A new topic is given every day, and then all words that match the topic need to be found in the grid, including a Pangram that spans both sides of the board. One of the words is Pangram , which extends from one side of the grid to the other and reveals more information about the topic of the day.
Spoilers ahead.

Today's Strands Analysis
When I found the MAKEUP on the grid, I was pretty sure it had something to do with makeup, although I couldn't string it into Pangram right away. I found POWDER first, then PRIMER before I was able to add EXAM to MAKEUP. This is very clever. "Make-up" is a test or quiz for a retest, but in this case we are just looking for words about makeup, such as FOUNDATION, BRONZER and CONCEALER. In fact, I found these easier than I thought, even though I wasn't a person who used cosmetics (although I've used them during dramatic performances!)

Forbes’ NYT Mini Crossword Tips and Answers, Wednesday, April 30, 2024 By Paul Tassi NYT Mini is a simplified version of the newspaper’s larger, longer-term crossword game. Most of the time, in a five by five grid, there are three to five clues in each direction, but the puzzles are sometimes bigger, especially on Saturdays. Unlike its bigger counterpart, the NYT Mini crossword is available for free on the New York Times website or the NYT Games app. However, you need an NYT Games subscription to access previous puzzles in your archive. The NYT Mini is a fun day-to-day pastime that usually doesn’t take any time. I'll try
