What are Connections?
This newest daily word game launched by The New York Times has become a hot topic on social media. It is reported that the game was created by Wyna Liu, deputy text game editor of The New York Times, and was published in its gaming section. Connections supports web browsers and mobile devices. Players need to combine four words with common points in 16 words, which are divided into four categories. These word combinations may cover book names, software, country names, and more. Although multiple words seem to fit, only one answer is correct.
Each puzzle contains 16 words, four words in a group, divided into four categories. These categories can be anything from book titles to software to country names and more. While many words may seem to be combined, there is only one correct answer.
Answer a group of four words correctly and these words will be removed from the board. If the answer is wrong, it is considered an error. The player can make up to four mistakes before the game ends.
Players can rearrange and shuffle the board to make it easier to find the association. Additionally, each group is color-coded, with yellow being the easiest, followed by green, blue and purple. Like Wordle , you can share results with your friends on social media.
