Casterfell Dam, seemingly unremarkable at first glance, holds a crucial location in Atomfall: a heavily fortified bunker containing the Dam Data Store. This store guards vital information about the Wyndscale Plant and its discoveries, but accessing its secrets requires a specific sequence of events.

Accessing the Dam Data Store

Located in the northwest corner of Casterfell Woods, the Data Store lies in a low area to the right of the dam (when facing it). Two approaches exist:

• The Dam Route: A longer, safer path across the dam. While druids patrol the area, they can be avoided or engaged as needed. Approach from the south and proceed northeast.
• The Gated Area Route: A shorter, riskier route from the east. This involves navigating a gated area with aggressive Ferals and a toxic gas-filled cave. An Antidote is essential for survival. This route is only recommended in emergencies.

Unlocking the Data Store's Secrets

Even without the keycard, the Data Store offers valuable supplies. Disabling the flamethrower robot on your initial visit is highly recommended. To access the top-secret data, you'll need:

• Doctor Garrow's Keycard: Obtained after rescuing her from Skethermoor Prison (this also yields a Signal Redirector). Subsequently, either eliminate her or reveal her location to Doctor Holder at the Interchange.
• A Signal Redirector: Acquired during Doctor Garrow's rescue.
• Joyce Tanner's Assistance: Requires activating radio towers in the Quarantine Zone with her help.
• Recommended: Explosive Lure and Antidote.

Retrieving the Top-Secret Data Tape

With Garrow's keycard, enter the Dam Bunker, ascend the rear-left stairs, and use the keycard to unlock the room. Employ the Signal Redirector on the junction box; be wary of the activated turret at the bottom of the stairs.

Maneuver past the turret's pillar, equip an Explosive Lure, use an Antidote, and use the Signal Redirector on the second junction box to disable the turret. This activates a rat-infested vent. To halt the rat infestation, quickly switch the next junction box near the right-side doors, using the Explosive Lure as a distraction.

After clearing the rats, climb the central crates to reach the final junction box on the ceiling. Activating it opens the control room door.

Inside the control room, reactivate the main power using the central console. Joyce will provide instructions to transfer the data to a tape and request its delivery.
