Assassin's Creed Shadows might mostly be about hunting down targets and assassinating them, but that doesn't mean there aren't some bright spots for players to look out for. Case in point, all of the romances.
There are a surprising number of romance options for both Naoe and Yasuke to be found throughout Feudal Japan, including a few off the beaten path. One of Yasuke's love interests, Ibuki, is a little tough to find, but here's how to meet them.
As is the case with the other romance options, you can also just choose to be friends with Ibuki. We'll detail both approaches.
Ambush Interrupted
Where To Find Ibuki
The hardest part of Ibuki's whole quest is actually finding and meeting them, as they're part of a side quest you might not think to bother with. That mission is called Ambush Interrupted, and it can be found in Hijiyama in Iga as shown above. Head to this area as Yasuke and you'll encounter them.
Ibuki will recognise Yasuke as soon as they see him, leading to the first important dialogue choice for recruiting or romancing them. You'll need to select, "I have changed" to move the conversation along positively. After that, you'll need to attack a bunch of enemies alongside Ibuki, which will then lead to the mission ending and another one beginning.
Homecoming
Where To Meet Ibuki
Once you've completed Ambush Interrupted, Ibuki will tell you to meet them further north of Hijiyama near a fort where their friend is being held. Head over there and chat with them, which presents the first optional flirting scene where Yasuke can say, "I am here to help". If you're just trying to recruit Ibuki, then say, "Maybe you're overthinking it".
The rest of the mission is fairly simple, as it just involves moving through a fort that's packed with guards and enemies to find someone called Kyobei. Just keep making your way up the area, defeating enemies as you go, until you find Kyobei about to be executed. This is another essential dialogue choice, as you'll need to choose, "Fight with us Kyobei" to keep Ibuki happy.
After that, you'll have to take on the person who was about to execute Kyobei alongside a few other guards, which shouldn't prove much challenge to you. Kyobei can sadly die in the process, but as long as you've made the right decisions up to this point. Ibuki will then leave and be findable back in Hijiyama.
Head over to where Ibuki is and they will have a conversation with Yasuke that offers a new romantic dialogue choice. If you want to, choose, "Your mind works in beautiful ways", but otherwise you can just ask Ibuki to join the league and gain a new ally in the process. Doing so will unlock the final part of Ibuku's questline.
Putting Down Roots
How To Find Flowers For Ibuki
The final part of Ibuki's questline and the one that directly results in a romance scene between them and Yasuke is called Putting Down Roots, and it can be triggered back at the Hideout. Talk to Ibuki there and they'll say the Hideout needs more colour, prompting Yasuke to go searching for flowers. You can also choose, "You have beautiful eyes", if you want to keep flirting.
To find the flowers, you'll need to head back to Hijiyama, to the point we've marked on the map above. Pick up the three flowers that are in the area (remembering to use Observe to find them if you get lost), and then return to Ibuki, who can be found in a bamboo grove near the Hideout's entrance.
The location of the third flower is in a little enemy hideout, so be prepared for a bit of a fight to finish off this quest. As usual, though, they shouldn't give you too much trouble.
Talking to Ibuki here will give Yasuke the final option to romance them by saying, "I want more than a friendship", which leads to a brief scene between the two. You can also choose to just keep it friendly by saying, "I'm glad we're friends", but there's no real benefit or punishment to doing either.
