ROPs are responsible for the final rendering phase before the frame is displayed on the screen, and the reduction in the number of ROPs will have a significant impact on performance.

To alleviate these concerns, Ben Berraondo, director of public relations at NVIDIA global GeForce, told the news media that the company guarantees that the laptop GPU does not have such problems. The Verge also raised specific questions to NVIDIA to ensure that no statement is ambiguous. The publication first asks if the situation has evolved from "no other GPUs affected" to "some notebook GPUs affected". The answer is a concise “no”. NVIDIA has been assuring users that ROP issues are being fixed on their published GPUs, so newer batches may not be problematic. Again, the upcoming RTX 5070 this month doesn't seem to be affected, although we can't be sure of that unless the GPU is on the market and delivered to customers/commentators.

The entire ROP incident has exacerbated many recent dilemmas in NVIDIA. Between the ongoing supply issues for graphics cards and the overstated performance commitment, this is not NVIDIA's best release to date.
