Destiny 2's Season of the Plunder brought a significant overhaul to all Arc subclasses. Following Void and Solar updates, Arc 3.0 introduces new abilities, Aspects, Fragments, and keywords, creating a highly aggressive playstyle ideal for speed-focused Guardians. Hunters gain a new Super, Warlocks a new slide melee, and Titans achieve grounded dashes via a new class ability. Classic Destiny elements return, alongside surprising additions, making Arc 3.0 a top-tier element. This guide details Arc 3.0 mechanics, keywords, and all Aspects and Fragments.
Updated March 4, 2025: Episode: Heresy's recent update subtly refined Arc 3.0, introducing a new keyword and various sandbox adjustments. New Aspects for Striker and Stormcaller, Fragment revisions, and Aspect rebalances are included in this updated guide.
Arc 3.0 is a complete revamp of all Destiny 2 Arc subclasses (Hunter Arcstrider, Titan Striker, Warlock Stormcaller). It utilizes the Aspects and Fragments system (introduced with Stasis), allowing players to customize builds.
Most Arc 2.0 features remain. All classes retain at least two melee abilities, two Supers, and access to all Arc grenades. New abilities were also added, such as the Hunter's Gathering Storm Super. This significantly enhances Arc subclasses, boosting their viability in endgame PvE and PvP.
Veteran players unlock Arc 3.0 automatically. New players unlock it through the New Light experience. However, not all Fragments are immediately available to veterans or New Lights.
To unlock all abilities, visit Ikora Rey in the Tower. She sells Aspects, Fragments, and grenade abilities for a small Glimmer cost.
Arc 3.0 features fewer keywords than previous subclass overhauls. It heavily emphasizes the Amplified buff and Jolt debuff, with a few additional keywords.
Buffs | |
---|---|
![]() Amplified |
Grants 15% PvE damage resistance, 50 Mobility, 40 Handling, and 33% increased slide distance. Enemies are less accurate while Amplified. Sprinting for two seconds triggers Speed Boost. |
![]() Speed Boost |
Increases sprint speed by 12.5%, jump height by 25%, slide distance by 50%, and grants 15% PvE damage resistance. Persists after Amplified expires. |
![]() Bolt Charge |
Damage dealt stacks Bolt Charge (max 10). Each stack grants 2.5% melee energy. Max stacks trigger a lightning strike (750 base damage). |
Debuffs | |
![]() Blind |
Disorients combatants, preventing shooting. Guardians temporarily lose HUD and suffer audio distortion. Stuns Unstoppable Champions. |
![]() Jolt |
Jolted targets chain lightning to nearby targets when damaged. Stuns Overload Champions. |
Subclass Pickup | |
![]() Ionic Trace |
Tracks to the creator, restoring grenade, melee, and class ability energy. Only spawns for the creator. |
Amplified provides significant buffs for 15 seconds. Speed Boost further enhances movement upon sprinting while Amplified. These effects don't stack with other similar buffs.
Amplified is triggered by rapid Arc kills, with tougher enemies contributing more progress. Spark of Volts Fragment also provides Amplified.
