Monster Hunter Wilds: Completing Dareel's Research Report (Continued)

Monster Hunter isn't just about battling behemoths; the smaller creatures, including endemic life, are also crucial. In Windward Plains Base Camp, Dareel and Samin continue their rivalry, this time focusing on the Forbidden Lands' fauna. Dareel needs your help finding an Ember Rufflizard.

Unlocking the Quest:

To begin, you must complete both Dareel's and Samin's previous Research Report quests (Tracktail Lizard and Dapperwing). Note that a random captured endemic life and a fish will always be in the research tent. Significant story progression is also required; this quest unlocks later in the game.

Finding the Ember Rufflizard:

Dareel indicates the Ember Rufflizard resides in the Oilwell Basin. These lizards are relatively common, appearing regardless of weather or time, though most frequent during the Firespring. They prefer drier areas, avoiding the Oilsilt. Area 8, despite the irony of its Oilsilt presence, is an ideal hunting ground. Use a Capture Net to catch one and return it to Dareel.

While Dareel's request is complete, Samin awaits with another task.
