Two Point Museum: A Guide to Exhibit Care and Climate Control
In Two Point Museum, your success hinges on properly maintaining your exhibits. This guide covers exhibit care, climate control, and keeping your specimens thriving.
Exhibit Health and Maintenance
Exhibits gradually lose stats: Grubbiness, Icyness, Health, and Maintenance. These are tracked by meters (0-100). Low meters cause negative effects:
Meter Type | Exhibits | Consequences of Low Meter |
---|---|---|
Grubbiness | Prehistory, Science, Marine | Loss of buzz, eventually no buzz. |
Icyness | Frozen Finds | Exhibits melt, ruined. |
Health | Botany, Aquarium (Marine) | Exhibits get sick, die. |
Maintenance | Space | Malfunctions, potential fires. |
Meters below 70% significantly increase the risk of problems. To prevent this, assign Experts to each exhibit type. Experts automatically maintain exhibit stats, but with many exhibits, manual intervention (using the "Call Expert" function via the exhibit list) may be necessary.
Exhibit Climate Control
Each exhibit prefers a specific climate. Temperature is visualized using the Temperature Visualization tool. Rooms start neutral; climate is altered using machines:
Climate Type | Temperature | Machinery Needed | Exhibits That Prefer It |
---|---|---|---|
Neutral | None | None | Prehistory, Supernatural, Space, Science |
Dry | Dry | Dehumidifier (Small, Wall) | Prehistory |
Cold | Cold | Freezer (Small, Wall) | Frozen Finds |
Hot | Hot | Heater (Small, Wall, Botanical) | Botany |
Humid | Humid | Mister (Small, Wall, Botanical) | Botany |
Temperate (Aquarium) | None | None | Temperate Fish |
Tropical (Aquarium) | Hot | Water Heater | Tropical Fish |
Coldwater (Aquarium) | Cold | Coldwater Cooler | Coldwater Fish |
Machines affect a 15x15 tile radius, strongest in a 3x3 area. Multiple machines may be needed. Removing machines reverts the climate to slightly dry.
Specific Exhibit Types
Dry Climate Exhibits (Prehistory, some Marine): Maintain a dry 3x3 (or larger for large exhibits) area around the exhibit. Avoid other climate machines except Dehumidifiers (unlocked via Kudosh). Janitors maintain machinery.
Cold Climate Exhibits (Frozen Finds): Maintain a cold 4x4 area using Freezers. Keep Freezers above 50% to prevent Icyness decay. Melting certain Frozen Finds triggers an achievement.
Hot & Humid Climate Exhibits (Botany): Use Heaters and Misters to maintain hot and humid 4x4 areas. Experts water/restore exhibits.
Aquatic Exhibits (Marine): Aquariums start temperate. Use Water Heaters or Coldwater Coolers for Tropical or Coldwater climates. Marine Experts maintain equipment.
By following these guidelines, you can ensure your exhibits remain healthy and your museum thrives!
