As an old game in the series, Monster Hunter: The Wilderness has accumulated a lot of traditional options and unique gameplay that may discourage novice players. This game also adds new features and unprecedented accessibility options, and some settings are only visible in the game rather than in the main menu. Without further ado, let's start!

8 settings you should immediately change in Monster Hunter Wilds

Close other hunter's minion Ai Lu

Your minion Ai Lu is the most important companion in the hunting process, and it automatically navigates to any location on the monster you marked or on the map, and is the best way to quickly recover and avoid attacks. In Monster Hunter: The Wilderness, Ailo also carries your second weapon and has a small package that stores items for the game's opening.

However, in battle, Ai Lu sometimes gets in the way. To get close to you, they may linger around you, which is not always what you want. Worse, other hunters' Ai Lu will also wander around, causing chaos in the picture. Don't worry, the game allows you to turn off other hunters' unhed Ailu. While the option indicates the effect is global, we found that it only affects the AI/support hunter you can summon, not real players. Better than nothing! To toggle this option, go to option - Game settings and go to page 3. There, you can set the Hide Other Ailu option to ON.

Stop your Ailu roaming

In Monster Hunter: The Wilderness, Ai Road sometimes seems to move non-stop, even if you just want to open the map, observe the area, or enjoy the scenery.

To solve this problem, you can go to the Game Settings tab under options , page 3 of , find the "Ailu Auto Exploration" option and set it to Off. This prevents Ailu from entering automatic exploration mode even if there is no waypoint set.

Control the action of calling Ai Lu

By default, calling your Ailu mount in Monster Hunter: Wilderness will make it move automatically, either heading to the waypoint you set earlier or just moving around aimlessly. If you want better control of it, you can switch to manual control.

To do this, please go to the

option - Control. On page 2, find "Call Alu Control" and "Call Alu Control (Radiation Menu)". Check out these two options and choose the option that works best for you, but we recommend setting the second setting to "Move manually".

There are two Ailu options below, you can also consider adjusting. The first controls how you command the mount, and the second controls how to get Ai Lu off the current route.

8 settings you should immediately change in Monster Hunter Wilds

Enlarge the field of view (camera distance)

One of the best ways to succeed in Monster Hunter is to always keep the monster you are fighting in your field of view. And one of the best ways to do this is to have a wider view. By setting the camera distance to be further away from your character than the default option, you may be able to better track the monsters you are fighting.

In "The Wild", this can be achieved in two ways. You can go to the Accessibility section under options to find the "Motion Sickness Reduction" item. This is a collection of several other settings from where you can adjust all settings without navigating to each setting position in the game menu.

Adjust "Camera Distance Zoom" all the way to ten - the current maximum value. If you don't like these settings, you can also adjust the Camera Swing and Camera Vibration. If you hate losing control of the camera when the camera tries to automatically center, you can also turn off the feature, whether it is walking or riding.

The same "Camera Distance Zoom" option can also be found in the Camera tab under options . On this page, there is also an option to adjust the camera's offset position, which can help you position the character directly in the center of the picture, or toward the right/left. Adjust the Camera Distance: Pan option to get the effect you like. You can also see its tweaks in real time in the background.

Note that at certain moments during the battle, the camera will shrink itself so that it is easier to see the monster's movements, but it doesn't hurt to get a better view outside of these moments.

Change the relationship between the target monster and the target

One of the best new features in Monster Hunter: The Wild is the ability to create targets for hunting specific monsters by aiming at monsters on the map and setting waypoints. The mission begins a few seconds after you start attacking the target.

By default, placing a pin on the monster icon on the map will also set it as your target, but you can change this behavior to your liking. On the page 3 of settings of under options , find "Target/Target Selection". From there, you can choose any option that works for you, but we found that the intermediate option – links only when aiming – provides the smoothest experience.

Reduce the number of tutorials

The number of tutorials for Monster Hunter: The Wilderness is indeed a bit too high. Of course, a lot of tutorials are helpful, especially if you're new to the series, but for many players, they're probably a little too many.

You can't close all tutorials completely, but at least you can reduce the number of tutorials. Simply go to the option menu and switch to the "Tutorial Number" option under Game Settings . Your options are Show All and Show Parts. The “Show Part” is a good start for anyone who knows Monster Hunter.

Below is the "Repeat Tutorial" option, which you can set to "Don't Repeat" to prevent some tutorials from being triggered when the game decides to meet certain conditions. Again, this won't close all tutorials (some tutorials will be repeated anyway), but you can greatly reduce the frequency by adjusting both settings.

Change your Alu's voice to a meow

I think most of us agree that Alu doesn't need to speak human words. Throughout Monster Hunter series, these feline friends sound like cats, and other characters understand and respond to them as much as they understand Cheubaca. But "Wilderness" suddenly made them speak like humans.

If you don't like this kind of silly, you can simply restore all the cute meows. Simply go to the Audio tab in the option menu, and find the "Elu Language" near the middle of the page to switch. Set it to "Elu Language" and enjoy your hunting.

Adjust the direction and expand inventory control

One of the better accessibility options offered by Monster Hunter: Wild is the ability to control the behavior of some traditional features of the game. For example, Direction Control controls what happens when the left rocker is tilted upward. Do you want it to move in the direction the character is facing, or in the direction the camera is facing?

"Extended Inventory" can be adjusted similarly to work in a variety of ways to your preferences. For example, you can change how to switch between normal and extended inventory. Both settings can be found on the first page of Control in the option menu.

Further down the same page, you can also find settings that control the speed of your rolling stock (cursor speed) - which is crucial when fighting fast monsters, and an option to decide whether the extended inventory will show all stacks or only the currently selected stack.

mPDF

mPDF

mPDF is a PHP library that can generate PDF files from UTF-8 encoded HTML. The original author, Ian Back, wrote mPDF to output PDF files "on the fly" from his website and handle different languages. It is slower than original scripts like HTML2FPDF and produces larger files when using Unicode fonts, but supports CSS styles etc. and has a lot of enhancements. Supports almost all languages, including RTL (Arabic and Hebrew) and CJK (Chinese, Japanese and Korean). Supports nested block-level elements (such as P, DIV),
