WhatsApp launches built-in map production function! Say goodbye to third-party applications and make personalized stickers easily!
WhatsApp users, good news is here! The long-awaited self-built map function of WhatsApp is finally launched!
This means no longer need to download third-party apps filled with ads, nor do you need to worry about "this emoji is suitable, but I don't have time to make it now." Now, turning emoticons into stickers becomes quick and easy—provided it operates on the web version.
Currently, this feature is limited to WhatsApp on the web, but WhatsApp will soon add it to the desktop app. As for whether we can make stickers on Android or iOS without using third-party apps, it is not clear yet. But this announcement from WhatsApp is undoubtedly a delight.
If you have ever used a third-party app to make WhatsApp maps, you will find that the process is roughly the same.
After logging into the WhatsApp web version, enter the conversation you want to use the new map, and then click the paper clip icon to the left of the message input box. There, beneath the familiar camera button, you'll find a new feature: Maps Making Button, which looks like a classic map icon, but has two flashing spots on the top. You can also access this tool directly from the Stickers menu - just open it like you would normally add your favorite stickers to chat and click to create .

After opening the platform, you will be prompted to select a file from the computer as the basis for the map - the platform supports JPEG, PNG, GIF (but not animated GIF) and even WebP files. WhatsApp web version opens the image and provides some basic editing tools - you can use the Text tool (T icon), the Crop tool (Classic two square corners), and the Pencil (graffiti) and Back and Forward Arrows to undo and redo edits.
The most practical tool is theContour tool (scissors icon), which you can use to outline the texture and automatically remove the background. Unlike other applications, WhatsApp’s contour tool is very easy to use because it is less sensitive to your hand movements. This makes it easier to get clear and sharp lines.
After clicking on your map, two white dots will appear—one at the top and one at the bottom right corner of the image. Use the first as the axis to rotate the map, and the second to zoom in or out of your work. You can also click on the image to move the map, and the two reference lines will appear automatically to help you center the map vertically and horizontally.

is finished, click the green Send arrow and watch your work make a brilliant appearance in the chat. WhatsApp automatically saves each sticker you make in your recently used sticker tags, and you can even access them immediately from your phone – just click on the emoji icon like you normally would and then click on the sticker icon.
Remember, powerful sticker features come with great responsibility. Wish you the skills of quick editing and a keen mindset to create the perfect response for every conversation.
