Monasteries, like other faction buildings, are constructed in stages. Unlock the Monastery Great Hall at Progression level 12 via the Progression menu. To build Monastery structures:

  1. Access the build menu and select "Monastery." Choose a structure based on your needs.
  2. Select a "Room" type building. Prioritize structures requiring only available materials.
  3. Choose an "Interior Access" sub-building.
  4. For Great Halls, place a "Visitor Location" marker (not required for other structures).

Boost Clergy Splendor and Influence by adding decorative elements to your buildings. Decorations increasing Splendor are marked with a small star icon.

Important Considerations:

  • You can only have one Great Hall per faction. Building a Monastery Great Hall prevents building Kingdom or Labour Great Halls, and vice-versa. This choice is made during map setup.
  • Different Monastery buildings have unique requirements. Check the bottom-right menu of the building selection screen to see what's needed (e.g., a herb garden requires a production structure and resource depot).
