Genestealer Cults, hidden within colossal hive cities and decaying industrial zones, steadily expand. Infected by Tyranid infiltrators (Genestealers), each generation blends seamlessly into human society, preparing for a devastating internal rebellion as the Hive Fleet descends.
The Genestealer Cults represent the ultimate underdog. Lacking the Imperium's training, Chaos's warp magic, or advanced Xenos technology, their strength lies in unwavering devotion and ruthless tactics.
On the battlefield, they are a hybrid ranged/melee horde army. They can revive units, execute surprise attacks (Deep Strike), and leverage powerful cross-unit synergies. Victory hinges not on individual unit strength, but on strategic advantage.
The Genestealer Cults' defining ability is Cult Ambush. Starting with Resurgence Points, when a non-Character, non-Vehicle unit is destroyed, you spend points to place a copy in Cult Ambush (a special reserve). A Cult Ambush Marker is placed on the battlefield (at least nine inches from enemies). Units can emerge near the marker, and the marker itself is destroyed if an enemy unit approaches too closely.
Despite limited unit variety, each Genestealer Cults unit offers significant value. Careful list construction is key.
