Conquer the Challenging Veol, the Crazed Wolf, in Ender Magnolia: Bloom In The Mist! This formidable boss stands guard over crucial abilities, but with careful strategy, victory is within reach. This guide details Veol's attacks and provides tips for defeating this challenging foe.
Veol, a key boss, blocks access to vital areas until defeated. Its diverse attacks severely limit player movement, demanding precise timing and skillful dodging.
Veol awaits at the Crimson Forest's end. This area is a maze of portals; careful navigation is essential. Unlock a switch to open the exit, then proceed through abandoned structures and Growth-blocked paths, battling numerous enemies along the way. The Crimson Forest Settlement Respite precedes Veol's lair.
Veol uses melee attacks and movement-restricting attacks that inflict Shock. Equip relics to mitigate Shock damage. Its swift movements make consistent attacks difficult.
Veol's Attack Strategies | ||
---|---|---|
Attack | Description | Counter |
Melee Tackle | A close-range headbutt. The boss pauses briefly after the attack. | Dash as its eyes glow; dashing towards it allows for continued attacks. |
Running Bite | A bite attack during its runs across the screen. | Dodge when its eyes glow. |
Lightning Walls | Summoned lightning walls that inflict Shock. | Dash through the walls, carefully avoiding being knocked into them by Veol's attacks. |
Somersault Attack | A ground slam attack; may spawn electric spikes in the final phase. | Dash at the point of impact. Avoid electric spikes carefully. |
Instant Dash (Final Phase) | A high-damage dash across the screen. | Dodge immediately upon seeing Veol roar; spamming Dash is also effective. Cannot be countered with Shackled Beast. |
Electric Fence (Final Phase) | Electric spikes spawned after a leap. | Dash in the direction Veol leaps from. |
Veol has three phases, marked by roars and Lilac's knockback. The boss is invulnerable during phase transitions. Phase two begins at ~30% HP, phase three at ~60% HP.
Stay at one screen edge to maintain attack opportunities. The Shackled Beast counters all melee attacks except the Instant Dash. Avoid lightning walls. If Veol is distant, wait for it to approach; use this time to heal. Exploit Break bar opportunities to unleash maximum damage.
Defeating Veol grants EXP and access to the Elder, who bestows Hati's legacy upon Hati, granting a new ability.
Hati's Charge allows dashing through Growth, opening previously inaccessible areas. Activate by holding the dash button while running; Lilac will glow. Jumping is possible while glowing, but maintain dash button hold; changing direction cancels the charge.
Access the Crystalline Realm via the Subterranean Lab Respite (near Lito's battle area) after acquiring Hati's Charge.
