In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, pickpocketing is a challenging but potentially rewarding skill. This guide will teach you how to successfully pilfer items from unsuspecting NPCs.

Initially, pickpocketing might seem impossible, but with practice and the right skills, you'll become a master thief.
How Pickpocketing Works
To pickpocket, target an NPC's belt. The game will prompt you to begin. You can approach from the front or back, but stealth is crucial. Valuable items are often in front pouches, but are harder to steal from behind.
Hold the prompt button to start a timer. The background will turn red; the faster it reddens, the more difficult the pickpocket attempt. A fully red background means you've been caught. Release the button when you've accumulated sufficient time.
A minigame begins, showing a wheel with a timer. Click question marks to identify items. Select an item and move the cursor back to the starting position (exit) to steal it. Failing to return to the exit will result in discovery. Multiple items require more time and skill.
Essential Skills
Maximize your Thievery skill for easier pickpocketing. These skills are particularly helpful:
Skill Name | Required Level | Effect |
---|---|---|
Sticky Fingers | N/A | Earn extra groschen on successful thefts. Also improves loot finding on corpses. |
Nimble Fingers | 6 | Increases time gained during the pickpocketing timer by 10%. |
Rapid Flight | 8 | Allows escape without being caught, but with a 3-minute cooldown. |
Higher Thievery skill makes the minigame easier. Practice your skills to become a successful, and stealthy, thief.
