One of the most iconic shaders in Destiny's history is back in Destiny 2. through the Past Prologue event. Fans of Chatterwhite can now earn this exclusive all-white shader by completing a handful of quests during the Past is Prologue event. Get your hands on five Bento Tokens, and you can use this iconic shader on your favorite weapons and armor.
The good news is that Chatterwhite is fairly easy to obtain this time around, provided you're willing to complete some short quest objectives during a temporary event. This short guide covers how to get your hands on Chatterwhite and what will happen to this shader once the Past is Prologue event is over.
You can earn the Chatterwhite shader by completing the "Packed Lunch" quest during the Past of Prologue event. This event runs from January 21 to February 4, so you have until then to complete this quest. Once this event ends, Chatterwhite will be unavailable for the foreseeable future. As with Superblack , it will likely be added back in a future event or activity.
Packed Lunch requires you to earn five Bento Tokens, which you can earn by completing the Drifter's event quests. Speak with the Drifter and select the "Limited-Time Event" banner to see your available quests. You can claim every quest and complete them simultaneously, although do note that Bento Tokens are earned for your account, not per character.
Most quests grant one Bento Token. Some endgame-related quests grant two instead.
The Drifter's quest selection will update on the next weekly reset, but if you're eager to get Chatterwhite before then, Xur will bring some of their own Bento Token quests when they visit the Tower on Friday. Give them a visit, grab all their quests, and complete enough to earn five Bento Tokens. Speak with the Drifter when you're done to get your hands on the Chatterwhite shader.
