Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 Story Mission Guide: Revealing Kendo, Jade and Mask, Giant Turtle, and Possibility Fragments

Fortnite will immerse players in a compelling storyline each season surrounding the game’s characters. Chapter 6 Season 1 is no exception, with a series of story missions prepared for players.

These missions usually start by looking for a specific character or gathering intel on new items on the map, and then gradually unfold. This season, you'll need to investigate demons that appear and strange masks you may have encountered.

We will continue to update this article and supplement the story missions that will be released later.

The Call of the Kendo

Phase 1/6

The first step in the "Kendo's Call" mission is to find and encounter Kendo. He is located on the northeastern edge of Nightshift Forest, near the waterfall.

For your convenience, you can go to the Missions tab and Track the Mission, which will place a marker on the map to guide you. This tip works for all tasks, so you can use it when needed.

As you get closer to the location, you will find Kendo fighting a demon. Help him defeat the demon, then Interact with him to continue the mission.

Phase 2/6

After interacting with Kendo, you will receive a follow-up mission that requires you to cause damage to a demon. These demons can be found across the map, including Night Rose, General X, and other demons roaming the open world.

Open the map and you will see white symbols marking their locations.

Just attack them with any weapon to complete the objective.

Phase 3/6

In the third stage of this mission, you need to place talismans in three different locations . While the map shows more than three possible spots, the best way to complete this quest quickly is to head to the Enchanted Moss Area.

In this area you will find three locations close to each other that you can approach, interact with and place talismans there.

Phase 4/6

Your next mission requires you to collect five residual essences from three different locations: The General's Loneliness, the Warrior's Lookout, or the Devil's Dojo.

Since Demon's Dojo is a BOSS area and will likely become a popular landing spot, we recommend heading to General's Solitude or Warrior's Lookout as they are close to each other.

Once you reach these areas, look for Smurfs that you can interact with to collect them. Make sure to collect five in total.

Don't worry - you can collect these souls in different races if you want.

Phase 5/6

This phase is similar to the second phase, but this time you need to destroy the demons, not just damage them . After you kill the demon, it will drop Essence that you need to collect.

Since you need ten, we recommend going to Devil’s Dojo, where the boss battle with Night Rose will take place. As long as Night Rose is alive, her shadow will continue to spawn, making it easier for you to collect the ten essences you need.

You do not need to initiate a battle with Night Rose for shadows to spawn.

The only challenge is that multiple players may land in the area making it difficult to complete the mission in one turn. But feel free to do it wherever you think it's easier.

Phase 6/6

The last step of "Call of the Kendo" requires you to give the collected essence to Shadow Blade Hope. She is located in the southeast of the map, in the Hope Heights area.

Interact with her and select the option Give her the collected Essence. Doing so will complete the "Call of the Kendo" story mission.

Jade and Mask

Phase 1/6

You need to complete "Call of the Kendo" to start the "Jade and Mask" story mission .

"Tama and the Mask" is a continuation of "Kendo's Call", which begins with talking to Kendo at his location.

Select the option to ask him about Dark Magic which will start the quest series.

Phase 2/6

The objective marker will be updated on the portal near the Kendo, and you will need to interact with it to continue the mission.

Phase 3/6

After obtaining new information, you need to find Daige's secret underground studio, which is located in Masked Meadow. But first, Talk to him where he is.

After talking to him, head to the same house he is in and go downstairs to reach his secret studio . In the workshop, you need to investigate four items:

• Three masks hanging on the wall.
• The paintings next to them.
• Small cage.
• The strange machine next to it.

Phase 4/6

After interacting with all four items in Daigo's secret underground workshop, you will need to collect a mask to the left of the strange machine.

This will drop two Ghost Faces, so be sure to pick up one of them.

Phase 5/6

This stage requires you to make a choice, but this will not affect the progress of the mission .

You can discard the mask you collected or use one of its abilities.

Phase 6/6

As a final step, go to Kendo’s usual location and interact with him. Select the option Ask About Jade.

After the conversation, this will complete the "Jade and the Mask" story mission .

Giant Turtle

Giant TurtleThe story mission requires you to find the strange turtle whose position changes every game, and interact with the character Ryuuji located on its shell .

Afterwards, you need to free the turtle from the dark magic thorns and that's it.

Fragments of possibility

Phase 1/6

To start the "Fragments of Possibility" quest, you need to talk to Kendo about hope. He can be found at the northeastern edge of Nightshift Forest.

As usual, you'll find him fighting demons, so help him defeat them, then interact with him to continue the mission.

Phase 2/6

The next stage requires you to place talismans in three different locations. All three locations are located due north of where the Kendo is located , east of Shining Terrace.

Just approach each one and interact with them to complete the mission.

Phase 3/6

Next, you need to find and use the Fire Mask during the day, or use the Void Mask at night. The easiest way to complete this quest is to go to the area where you placed the talisman.

After interacting with all the talismans, you will find Fire Mask and Void Mask there. Just pick up the Fire Mask and fire four fireballs to complete the mission quickly .

You can still find Ghostface elsewhere; this is just the fastest way.

Once completed, you will enter the second part of this stage, which requires you to collect the first Meteor Fragment.

To obtain it, head southwest to General's Solitude. In the center of this location, near the portal, you will find a purple stone. Collect it, which will complete the third stage.

Phase 4/6

For this part, you need to go to Nightshift Forest and solve three riddles.

In this location you will findthree interactive fox statues, each of which will have a riddle that you need to answer correctly.

• Southern Fox Statue Riddle: "I sing silently and shine without flames. Those who seek me will be rewarded the same."
• Answer: Treasure Chest

• Oriental fox statue riddle: "I fly lightly and gracefully across the sky. When I land, I disappear without a trace."
• Answer: Hang Glider

• Western fox statue riddle: "Stand by your side, loyal and reliable, clearing the way for you no matter the wind or rain."
• Answer: Pickaxe

Just like the previous stage, once you successfully solve all three puzzles, you need to find the Second Meteor Fragment.

This time it is located east of Nightshift Forest, near the Treasury. Make sure you pick it up.

Phase 5/6

Now, you need to find and collect a map from the defeated demon warrior. These demons can be found anywhere on the map.

To easily identify them, open the map and look for the samurai’s white symbol.

Go to the location, defeat the demon, and the map will drop . If not, just move to another location.

After completing this section, you need to find the third and final meteor fragment.

This time, it's in the center of the Maze Garden just south of the Masked Meadow.

Phase 6/6

The last step of this quest requires you to place all three collected Meteor Fragments on the Spirit Furnace. This location can be found in the Devil's Dojo, specifically under the bridge leading to the boss battle with Night Rose.

Once all three shards are placed there, hold the interact button to craft the shard blade . Once crafted, pick them up and bring them to Night Rose.

However, before you can deliver the Shard Blade, you need to defeat Night Rose first.

Once defeated, she will transform into an NPC that you can interact with . Select the "Delivery Shard Blade" option to complete the "Fragments of Possibility" story mission.
