Forgotten Legacy Overview

After crafting your first glider (completing the Leaving the Nest quest), the Forgotten Legacy quest begins. Your goal: claim a home island, crucial for further exploration. The quest requires:

• Locating and viewing the second fresco.

Master glider controls, aiming for islands with vegetation – prime locations for sailing knowledge. Resource gathering is encouraged, but the primary focus is acquiring essential recipes for island flight. There's no time limit; explore at your own pace. Completing Forgotten Legacy

Aloft's procedurally generated map means specific locations are unpredictable. However, we'll outline the necessary tasks and items.

Finding the Second Fresco

Near your starting point, locate an island with elaborate white and black stone structures. Landing here triggers the Ancient Knowledge quest. Find a locked circular door; the nearby glowing key is your first. Use it to access a cave containing resources and a large white fresco. Interact with the fresco to obtain the helm recipe, essential for steering your island.

Consider your home island choice. Place acquired recipes (especially the table map) to track progress. The home kite allows immediate island claiming.

Finding Lost Sailing Knowledge

The island with the fresco likely contains initial sailing knowledge pieces.
