Frontend-Challenge-December-Edition by Umar Farooq

This is a submission for Frontend Challenge - December Edition, Glam Up My Markup: Winter Solstice

What I Built

This project is a visually appealing and informative website about Winter Solstice Celebrations Around the World. It explores the science behind the solstice, the contrasting experiences across hemispheres, and diverse cultural celebrations and traditions. The website features a winter-themed background, smooth scrolling for effortless navigation, animated visuals (such as spinning images and fade-ins), and a responsive design tailored for desktop and mobile users. Built with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, it highlights the connection between humanity and this cosmic phenomenon.

Journey

This project was an opportunity to showcase the significance of the Winter Solstice through visually engaging web design. I explored creative elements such as smooth scrolling, particle animations, and glowing effects to enhance the UI/UX and provide an immersive experience, while learning how to effectively incorporate animations and responsive design into the website.
