One of the best ways to show your progress in Pokemon TCG Pocket is with emblems, little badges that you can earn through gameplay or buy in the shop and feature on your account. Emblems showing off your success in PvP aren't easy to find, but there's an event right now where you can earn a new one.
The Genetic Apex SP Emblem Event 1 rewards you for winning PvP matches, but there's a catch: you have to win consecutive matches. Lose one, and the whole thing resets. But we've got everything you need to succeed and earn your gold emblem!
The Genetic Apex SP Emblem Event is a PvP event that runs from December 9, 2024, until December 16, 2024, giving players only one week to complete missions and earn new emblems.
Unlike Pokemon GO, which starts events based on your local time zone, Pokemon TCG Pocket starts events simultaneously worldwide. Start and end times in your area may vary by a few hours from those described in guides.
During this event, you can participate in Event Battles to earn special emblems to display on your profile. But unlike the previous PvP emblem event, for this one, you need to win consecutive PvP battles.
The count for consecutive battles won towards your next emblem resets if you lose a battle, so while the minimum number of battles to earn the top emblem is only five, you may need to restart several times as the battles get more difficult.
In addition to emblems, you can also earn Pack Hourglasses and Shinedust through a series of missions. These missions don't require you to maintain a winning streak or participate in Event Battles, so you can earn them through random matches or by playing against a friend in a Private Battle.
The main reason to participate in the emblem events is to earn new emblems for your profile. It's a good incentive if you haven't been lucky enough to pull the rainbow-border legendary bird trio and want something more unique than the same Mewtwo, Charizard, and Pikachu emblems everyone else has.
There are four new emblems available, each requiring a longer winning streak than the previous one to earn.

In addition to the new emblems, there are also ten missions available that reward Shinedust and Pack Hourglasses. Each mission becomes available when you complete the previous mission, but they count each previous mission's progress.
These missions do not require you to participate in Event Battles, so you can do random battles that may be a little less competitive, play with a friend, or use the popular "Thanks Lobby" to earn rewards quickly.

This event can be much more frustrating than the previous emblem event, where you could continue farming until you had enough wins. It didn't matter if you had a five-percent win rate if you played enough matches. For this one, you need a five-win streak. To make matters worse, Pokemon TCG Pocket has now been available long enough for more powerful decks to be the norm, rather than the exception.
To compete, you'll need to bring your strongest deck. If you love Eevee and have an Eeveelution deck you love to play, that's great, but it probably won't succeed here. You'll have much more success with a high win rate deck like a Pikachu ex deck.
We were able to get five wins right out of the gate with Arcanine ex, and meta-analysis suggests that a hybrid Charizard ex/Arcanine ex deck may be the best option in the current meta.
Knowing the meta is also important: Venusaur ex may seem like an excellent deck, until you realize that Charizard ex and Arcanine ex are both popular, so Grass-type Pokemon are at a disadvantage. You can still win with a disadvantaged deck, but the odds are against you.
If you're struggling to win, try playing at different times of the day. You may find older, more experienced players make up the majority of your matches late at night, but on afternoons and on the weekend younger, less experienced players are more active. Playing at the right time can increase your odds of a less experienced opponent.
Finally, try to earn your Gold Emblem as soon as possible: this event only runs for a week, and players who procrastinate will be desperate near the end. At that time you may also encounter players who have already earned their Gold Emblem trying to break your streak to gatekeep their perceived status symbol.
