Pokemon Growth Week is back for a third time in Pokemon Sleep. As the name suggests, this is all about growing your Pokemon to be big and strong. Well, more to level them up. Which is basically the same thing.
The event starts on December 9 and runs for a week, ending on December 16. It prides itself on vowing to provide opportunities to raise the EXP of the Pokemon you have in your team for the week. So pick your team, eat some good food, and get ready to go night night with the Pokemon you want to see level up.
From December 9 to December 16, you can participate in this event, and you can choose any research site that is currently available to you.
Because this event is more focused on leveling up your Pokemon and not feeding your Snorlax, the dish and berry types are not predetermined based on the event. While that means you can end up making any of the three recipe types, your berry type will be locked to what that location’s Snorlax likes.
The only research site that doesn’t lock which type of berries Snorlax will request is Greengrass Isle. If you like the randomness of not knowing or want to have to build a unique team of Pokemon, you may want to stick to this location.
When it comes to the bonuses you will enjoy during the event, there are two:
The candies you are rewarded are from the Pokemon that show up at your campsite. This bonus does not apply to candies you gain from the Research Community. Only your team of Helper Pokemon will get any extra EXP generated by the event. So be sure to pick a team of the Pokemon you want to be stronger, no matter the reason.
Both of the sleep bonuses apply only to your first research session of the day. This, unfortunately, dings players who like to take naps during their day, but not those who only have their longer night’s sleep.
One thing missing from this event that is often given during the others is that there are no special missions designed purely for this event. You’ll instead want to turn all of your focus onto the weekly missions and their rewards.
While previously there has only been one bundle available to buy during the Pokemon Growth Week Event, this time around there are three. Their prices are also lower than the bundles of most of the other events.

If you burn the Growth Incense during the event, the benefits are stacked, giving your Pokemon even more EXP.
The S bundle is 250 diamonds, the M bundle is 600 diamonds, and the L bundle costs 1,500 diamonds. And diamonds are the currency that you can purchase with real money via the game's microtransactions. As well as earn in the game, but it takes a while to build up that many. Cries in poor.
Naturally, you’ll want to pick a team of Pokemon that you want to level up. This can be for a variety of reasons, like wanting your Pokemon to gain higher RP so you can finally reach Master Rank in a new research site, or as simple as wanting your favorite Pokemon to be max level.
But don’t forget the candy bonus. Choose your location based on the type of Pokemon you will be encountering.
If you want to quickly level up your new Sneasel, you’ll want to stick to Snowdrop Tundra so you have a higher chance of seeing them.
If you want more candy for Mimikyu, then you should be laying your head down at the Old Gold Power Plant. And so on and so forth for every Pokemon that has your interest.
You could also use this time to level up any of the legendary dogs: Entei, Raikou, and Suicune. However, if you do like that idea, you’ll have a hard time doing the three at once as their abilities are strongest when they are with Pokemon of their own typing.
