Fusion Rules

Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero - Vegito Character Guide

As a fusion character, there are two ways you can access Vegito: you either pick him directly from the roster or pick Goku and Vegeta and fuse during battle. If you pick Vegito from the roster, you’ll be able to freely transform into his Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan blue forms.

If you fuse, however, your eligible forms will be limited by the Goku and Vegeta used in the fusion. The ones from the end of Z have access to base Vegito and his Super Saiyan form, while the ones from Super have access to base Vegito and his Super Saiyan Blue form.

While most fusions have an additional health bar, you don’t gain the full bar when you fuse, just half of it. You also can only fuse when in base form, but you don’t need the other character to also be in base form; for example, you can fuse with Goku as a Super Saiyan 3 as long as you pick Vegeta, and he is in his base form.

Regardless of how you end up using Vegito, you’ll notice that he plays similarly to a Vegeta character, but with far better stats. This is mostly due to his access to Explosive Wave, a reliable way to push enemies away when they are on top of you.

If you have an easy time connecting Rampaging Rush, it can be a reliable way of dealing damage, but otherwise, you should be using your time to transform, since the other two Vegitos have some significant advantages over the base form.

The main strength of the Super Saiyan version of Vegito is his Afterimage Strike, one of the best skills in the entire game. It's a defensive way of being aggressive since you get 15 seconds to rush your opponent down without fear of retaliation.

His other skills are mostly average, with two Beam moves that are largely the same. We recommend using Big Bang Attack since the animation goes by a little faster, but the preference is up to you; just remember to save your Skill Count for Afterimage Strike.

The Blue version of Vegito has no hidden tricks, he simply has some of the biggest stats in the game. He has the same number of health bars as most other fusions, but he packs a significantly larger punch, with both his basic attacks and his special moves.

It isn’t a bad idea to use Settling The Score, since the buffs can help you close out a match, but always leave two Skill Count handy for the Full Power Charge. It’s a cheap and fast way to always have your full Ki bar, either to throw several Kamehamehas or to have fuel to answer several vanishing strikes.
