After playing through the same timeline a few times, you're finally making some headway into understanding what happens next in Loco Motive. Part Six deals with the immediate aftermath of the disaster at the end of the previous part, with the Reuss Express meeting an untimely, explosive end.

With this part, you can now switch between all three characters to solve the puzzles in front of you.

Start by switching to Arthur and Herman to find out that Donny and April are close by.

Gathering Items

To get started with the puzzle, switch to Arthur and use the window in the cell door to peer outside. Here, use your umbrella on the locker on the left side of the screen. This will knock a small ball into the corridor, but Arthur cannot get it.

Switch to Diana and have her look outside the cell. Then, use her mouse on the ball to retrieve it.

As Arthur, use the key you picked up way back in the prologue on the toilet and flush it - it'll end up in Diana's cell. Have Diana pick up the key and use it on the lock to the right of her cell; she'll acquire some heavy chains.

Now, we need to get the magnetic ball over to Donny to help him with his plan to get the guard's keys.

  • First, switch to Arthur and use the red valve on the left to reverse the water direction between the cells.
  • As Diana, place the magnetic ball in the toilet and flush it to Arthur's cell.
  • Then, as Arthur, flush the ball directly into Donny's cell.

Turns out you need to distract the guard to complete Donny's plan.

Make sure the water is flowing towards the left, and then, as Diana, place the chains inside the toilet. This will cause Jimmy to try and stop you, and Donny will manage to nab the cell keys. The chains will get stuck, though.

How To Get The Chains

As Herman, combine the letter opener with the suction cup boots in his inventory.

This will leave you with a suction cup - use this on the rusty pole you can find at the end of Herman's bed to create a plunger.

Use the plunger on the toilet to get the chains, and then use the chains on the window bars to complete this short part of the game.
