Copilot, Microsoft’s official AI, is now an integral feature in all of its main Microsoft 365 apps, including Outlook. You can use it to save time when writing emails, drafting replies, or managing your inbox.
Here’s how to use Copilot in Outlook.
How to Use Copilot in Outlook to Draft Emails
Copilot can write entire emails for you, or at least give you a rough draft to save time.
Step 1. Go to “Home” and then “New Mail” to start a new message.
Step 2. Click the Copilot button in the toolbar, then select “Draft with Copilot.”
Step 3. Type in a prompt. This is where you let Copilot know what sort of email you want to write. An example could be “Let my contacts know that I’m going to be out of the office until Friday.”
Step 4. (Optional) Use the “Generate Options” button to configure the style of your message.
Step 5. Press “Generate” and wait a moment while Copilot drafts your email.
Step 6. You can review it and then ask Copilot to try again by clicking “Regenerate” or press “Keep” if you’re happy with the first draft.
How to Use Copilot in Outlook to Summarize Threads
Copilot can also summarize lengthy email threads, giving you the gist of what’s being said without having to read each message.
Step 1. Select the thread you want to summarize.
Step 2. Click “Summary by Copilot” (this might also appear as a button labeled “Summarize”). Your summary will then show up at the top of the thread.
How to Use Copilot in Outlook for Coaching
Copilot also has a neat “Coaching” feature that can help you improve the flow of your messages and essentially teach you to write in a clearer and more confident manner.
Step 1. Write an email as usual, then press the “Copilot” button and “Coaching with Copilot.”
Step 2. Copilot will scan your message and suggest ways to improve it. It’ll offer to adjust syntax, structure, and grammar to possibly create a better final email.
Step 3. You can click “Apply all suggestions” to instantly implement all of Copilot’s changes, or you can go through them one by one to pick and choose.
How to Use Copilot in Outlook to Make Invites
Lastly, Copilot can read your emails, understand when topics like meetings, appointments, or events are being discussed, and create invites for you to send out to relevant parties.
Step 1. Open an email thread or message that contains information about an event or meeting of some kind.
Step 2. Click the “Schedule with Copilot” button in the “Home” tab.
Step 3. Click on “Insert” to accept Copilot’s suggested info.
Step 4. Review the invite it generated and make any necessary changes. When you’re done, click “Send” to send it out to those involved with the meeting or event.

1. Background Recently, when using the svn plug-in to manage remote warehouse code in eclipse, prompts to enter passwords are always prompted to enter passwords, which is particularly annoying. After hard work, I finally solved the problem and shared it with you~ 2. Analysis of the password mechanism of the svn plug-in and the cause of the problem. When we use the svn plug-in for the first time and enter the password, a file that saves the password will be generated, and then the svn plug-in will read the username and password information by default every time. When eclipse is started, the configuration information will be automatically read into the program cache. The steps to start system restore in Windows 8 are: 1. Press the Windows key X to open the shortcut menu; 2. Select "Control Panel", enter "System and Security", and click "System"; 3. Select "System Protection", and click "System Restore"; 4. Enter the administrator password and select the restore point. When selecting the appropriate restore point, it is recommended to select the restore point before the problem occurs, or remember a specific date when the system is running well. During the system restore process, if you encounter "The system restore cannot be completed", you can try another restore point or use the "sfc/scannow" command to repair the system files. After restoring, you need to check the system operation status, reinstall or configure the software, and re-back up the data, and create new restore points regularly.
